New photograph, titled Upside-Down just posted to my Etsy shop for sale. As I’ve mentioned on facebook, I am slightly obsessed by raindrops on flowers, and this beauty had the extra visual interest of the petals being closed & drooped upside down against all the vertical stems & leaves around it.
I just posted this photograph for sale on my Etsy page (listed as a matted print, but available by custom order as notecards or canvas too). It reminds me in every way of the beauty of a mother-daughter relationship. I think it’s beautiful for anyone, but I think it would make an especially lovely gift for a baby-shower, either as a gift for the mom-to-be, or as a gift for a baby girl’s nursery. Personally, I think it would look great in any nursery, but I get it that most people aren’t likely to decorate a boys’ nursery with pink roses. 😉
I’ve titled it The Guardian, and I think in most cases, the rose in full bloom represents the mother, while the bud represents her child. On a more somber note, I think it would make a lovely piece for a woman whose mom or daughter has passed away as a token of the forever love they share. In that regard, the roles reverse, and it’s the daughter in heaven as the rose in full bloom watching over her mother.
Either way, I hope you enjoy it, and I’d love to hear what you think!

For your enjoyment, here’s my first listing, featuring the photograph which sparked my love for flower, nature, and travel photography. I hope you enjoy my work!
My daughter actually asked if I (somehow, magically?) went to China for this photograph. So I took that as a compliment. I’d love to hear what anyone else thinks of it?
I’d also LOVE to know what kind of flower this is???
Just testing my watermark again.
